Mexican Olympic medalist dies of heart attack

MEXICO CITY, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) — Mexican Olympic race walker Noe Hernandez died of a heart attack on Wednesday after being shot in the head.

The 34-year-old, 2000 Sydney Olympics runner-up, died on his way to the hospital following two heart attacks in his home.

He was shot and lost an eye in a shooting at a bar called "Queen of Kings" on December 30.
